Magenda is provided by Apptimus Tech (Pvt) Ltd.. Use it responsibly, keep access details private and review the plan and payment terms before purchasing.
Our agreement with you
These terms apply to your use of Magenda’s website, installed web app and event services, provided by Apptimus Tech (Pvt) Ltd.. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the acceptable use policy. If you act for an organisation or another person, you must have authority to do so.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and authorise any purchase. Where a parent or guardian’s permission is required, obtain it before using the service. Guests must also respect the event organiser’s instructions and these terms when accessing an invitation or contributing content.
Accounts and private access
Provide accurate information and use contact details you are authorised to access. Keep verification codes, invitation links and account sessions private. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for the people you authorise to collaborate on your event and for reviewing their permissions.
A personal invitation link provides access intended for its recipient. Do not share it publicly or use it to access someone else’s invitation. Organisers may revoke invitation access or remove collaborators.
The Magenda service
Magenda provides digital invitations, event planning and guest participation tools. Features depend on the plan, enabled apps, access period and supported device or browser. The current plan descriptions and checkout details explain the limits that apply. Free availability does not create an entitlement to paid features.
Event organisers are responsible for the event itself, the accuracy of its details, guest permissions and arrangements with suppliers. Magenda is not a party to those supplier arrangements and does not guarantee an event’s attendance, safety or outcome.
An internet connection is required for live data and saving changes. The installed app’s offline page does not make payments, check-in or event editing available offline. Device features such as camera scanning depend on browser support.
Prices, access and renewal
The Full plan is purchased separately for each event. Optional monthly storage and continued access are billed separately and renew until cancelled under the terms shown at checkout. Review the amount, currency, included access period and recurring nature of a purchase before authorising payment. Your bank may apply its own fees or conversion rate.
Payments are processed by PayHere. Paid entitlements begin after verification; failed, reversed or refunded payments may affect the associated access. Do not make duplicate payments while a confirmation is pending; contact us if you need help.
Stop monthly renewal in the event’s Billing section and verify the confirmation, or contact us if you cannot complete cancellation. Event cancellation or archiving does not stop subscription billing. Refund requests and the effect of cancellation are explained in the refund policy.
Your content and guest information
You retain your rights in content you provide. You give us a limited permission to host, process, copy and display that content as needed to provide the service, follow your sharing choices, maintain security and meet legal obligations. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Magenda.
Only upload content and personal information you have the right to use. Obtain permissions required for guest details, photographs, children’s information and sensitive information. Organisers are responsible for providing suitable information to their guests and handling requests concerning the data they control. Avoid including information that is unnecessary for your event.
Approved guest contributions may be visible to other invited guests or displayed on an event screen. Organisers control available moderation and sharing settings. Keep your own copies of important materials and use available export tools while you have access.
Magenda materials
Magenda’s software, branding, designs and other service materials belong to us or our licensors. You may use the available templates and tools for your events within the service’s intended use. These terms do not give you ownership of our software or permission to resell the service, copy its branding or redistribute template assets as a competing product.
Availability and changes
We work to provide a useful and reliable service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, network failures and third-party services can affect availability. Keep suitable alternatives for time-critical event operations.
We may improve or change the service and will provide notice of changes affecting an existing paid commitment where required. If we cannot provide a purchased service, contact us for a remedy under the refund policy and applicable law.
Restriction and ending access
We may restrict content or access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach of these terms, a security threat or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. Urgent safety, legal or security circumstances may require action first.
You can stop using Magenda at any time and contact [email protected] about account closure or deletion. Cancel any recurring subscription separately. Closing an account does not erase obligations already incurred or records that must lawfully be retained. Paid-access expiry and data retention are different matters, as explained in our privacy policy.
Responsibility and legal rights
Each party is responsible for its own obligations and conduct under this agreement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by information you supply, actions of event participants or suppliers, misuse of your access credentials, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We do not exclude responsibility where the law does not allow us to do so.
Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Sri Lankan law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections available to you under applicable law. A court with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute.
Questions, disputes and updates
Contact [email protected] with questions or a complaint so we can try to resolve it. Please identify the account, event or purchase and explain what happened. This does not prevent you from using a legal remedy available to you.
We may update these terms, with the version date shown above and additional notice where required. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights that already arose. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
