A thoughtful guide to sharing a private event
Keep personal invitations useful and considered, from choosing what to include to handling a forwarded link.

Send a personal link to its intended recipient
Magenda gives each invitee a personal invitation link. Treat that link like the invitation itself: send it directly to the person or household it represents, and ask them not to forward it widely.
Anyone who has a valid link can access that invitation. A personal link is therefore different from requiring every guest to prove their identity. Avoid sharing it publicly or using one household’s link as the invitation for everyone.
Understand what exclusion from search means
Magenda’s private guest routes are excluded from search indexing and require a valid invitation link or the guest access it establishes. Search exclusion helps keep those pages out of search results; it does not stop a recipient from sharing a link or a screenshot.
Keep the invitation’s contents appropriate for its audience even when you expect it to remain private. Let guests know if any detail should be kept within the invited group.
Respond if a link reaches the wrong person
If a personal link is shared accidentally, review that invitation in the organiser workspace. Magenda lets you rotate the link or revoke the invitation. Send the replacement only to its intended recipient and check that the recorded response still matches their plans.
These controls manage invitation access. They cannot undo information someone has already read, copied or photographed. The most useful first step is still being deliberate about what you include and where you send it.
- Use one invitation record for each intended person or household.
- Send personal links in a direct conversation.
- Review the party allowance before sharing.
- Rotate or revoke a link when access needs to change.
