Essential storage supports Magenda. Optional analytics and advertising are off unless you choose to enable them.
Cookies and similar storage
This policy applies to Magenda, operated by Apptimus Tech (Pvt) Ltd.. Cookies are small values stored by your browser. Browser caches and local storage can also keep information on your device. These technologies serve different purposes, described below.
Sign-in and security
Magenda uses a first-party session cookie, normally named magenda_session, to connect your browser to your account session, verification challenge or private guest access. It is essential for sign-in and private event features. Its name may vary with the service configuration.
The default session inactivity period is two hours; active use can renew it. Sign-out invalidates your account session. Guest access can also end when an invitation is revoked, an event closes or its access expires.
A security cookie such as XSRF-TOKEN may be set alongside the session to help protect requests against cross-site forgery. Security cookies follow the session configuration. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in, invitation responses and other actions from working.
Installed app and offline files
The Magenda web app can keep public interface files, icons and an offline page in your browser’s cache. This allows a helpful screen to open when the connection is unavailable. Private event responses, account information, payment requests and guest photographs are not saved to the app’s offline cache.
Cached app files remain until replaced by an update, cleared by you or removed by your browser. Installing Magenda does not enable push notifications. Saving event changes, checking in guests and other live event actions require an internet connection.
Optional analytics and advertising
Analytics: Google Analytics measures public-site visits, and Microsoft Clarity creates masked session recordings and heatmaps of public-page interactions. Advertising: Meta Pixel measures public visits and campaign attribution. These services may use cookies or similar identifiers and receive browser, device, interaction and campaign information only after you enable the relevant category. Private event, invitation, guest, account and sign-in pages do not load these tools.
Both categories are off until you choose them. Your choices are saved in this browser’s local storage under magenda-consent-v2. Clarity is used for analytics; enabling Meta advertising does not grant Microsoft advertising consent. You can change or withdraw your choices using Cookie settings. Clearing site data removes the saved choice; we will ask again on your next visit.
Payment providers and other sites
If you continue to PayHere checkout or follow an external link, that provider may use its own cookies and browser storage. Those are governed by the provider’s notices and controls.
Managing your browser storage
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy settings. To remove the installed web app’s cached files, clear Magenda’s site data; uninstalling the icon alone may not clear it. Clearing site data can sign you out and remove private invitation access from that browser.
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw your optional analytics and advertising choices. Withdrawing consent stops future collection for that category; it does not erase information already received by a provider. Browser storage controls do not delete your account or event information held by Magenda.
